Terms of Use

CopySight AI, Inc. | Effective date: July 1, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of CopySight AI services, including CopyScore and any related tools (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

CopyScore is currently available. CopyScan and CopyScore Certificate are in active development and not yet available.

1. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@copysight.ai.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

2. What You Can Do

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own lawful purposes. You may use CopyScore to assess similarity and copyright risk in content you own or have the right to evaluate.

3. What You Cannot Do

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or methodology.
  • Use automated tools or systematic queries to probe or map the scoring methodology.
  • Use our outputs to train, fine-tune, or benchmark any competing AI system.
  • Resell, sublicense, or share access to the Service without our written consent.
  • Upload content you do not own or have authority to submit.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights.

4. Fees, Credits & Cancellation

Subscriptions and credits

Services are purchased as monthly credit subscriptions. Credits are allocated at the start of each billing cycle and expire at cycle end. Unused credits do not roll over.

No refunds

All fees are final and non-refundable. Once a credit is consumed and a report is rendered, the service is complete. CopySight does not issue refunds based on analysis results, similarity scores, or a user's decision not to act on them.

Exceptions are limited to:

  • A documented technical failure on CopySight's side that prevented service delivery.
  • A duplicate charge caused by a billing system error.

To request an exception, contact support@copysight.ai within 14 days of the charge. Duplicate charges caused by a billing system error are refunded to the original payment method. Exceptions for technical failures are issued as account credits.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account's Billing page. No phone call or support ticket is required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Access continues until that date. No further charges are made after cancellation. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid for the current period.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. You will receive an email reminder before each renewal with the amount, renewal date, and a link to cancel. Annual subscribers receive an additional reminder 30 days before the renewal date.

If CopySight fails to send the required renewal notice and you are charged, you may request a full refund for that renewal period at support@copysight.ai within 30 days of the charge.

Price changes

We may change subscription pricing with 30 days' written notice. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the new price. You may cancel before the change takes effect if you do not accept it.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the Service. We do not store your content after processing is complete and do not use it to train our models.

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you upload and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service honestly and as intended. In the event of a material and documented violation of Section 3, CopySight may immediately suspend access and cancel any pending obligations, and you will not be entitled to any refund.

7. The Service

We provide the Service as is, without warranties of any kind. CopyScore provides similarity assessments and risk indicators. It does not constitute legal advice and is not a substitute for review by qualified counsel. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its outputs will be accurate in every case.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CopySight's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid in the three months before the claim arose.

CopySight is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability for incidental or consequential damages. Where applicable law requires it, these limitations may not apply to you in full.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CopySight AI, Inc. and its officers, employees, and contractors from any third-party claims, damages, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) content you submit to the Service; or (b) your wilful violation of Section 3.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Where Delaware law conflicts with mandatory consumer protection provisions of California law, those California provisions apply to the extent required by law.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. You and CopySight each consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Before initiating any legal proceeding, please contact us at support@copysight.ai. Most issues can be resolved quickly without formal action.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms. On termination, your license to use the Service ends. Sections 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 survive termination.
